In season 2 Janine is back at Abbott Elementary with the rest of her coworkers: Ava Coleman (Janelle James) as the unqualified principal; Barbara Howard (Sheryl Lee Ralph) an experienced teacher with plenty of experience; Melissa Schemmenti (Lisa Ann Walter) is who is a Philly native with powerful connections; Jacob Hill (Chris Perfetti) an unemployed teacher who was hired by Janine as a substitute; And Gregory Eddie (Tyler James Williams) as the newly-appointed full-time teacher.

Similar to the first season In season 1, Abbott teachers will be required to overcome the issues that arise from working in a school that isn’t well-funded.
