The Episode Review
The episode was extremely chaotic, and everyone is to be suspicious. I’m wondering how much Janae is hiding from them since she has a tendency to conceal items from the group. Bronwyn is a brilliant student, but she can be as ignorant as a 12-year-old. Bronwyn is actually contemplating Nate having a kiss with someone who isn’t her, and she is avoiding her midterms, which could negatively impact her GPA.
Kudos to Nate for providing Simon an additional reason to hinder his relationship with Bronwyn since when she admitted her feelings towards him, Simon could have informed her that he had kissed Fiona once more and apologized. It wouldn’t be a problem, however, I think we’re waiting for things to boil. I don’t like Addy’s story that since Jake was cheating on her for her first, her relationship with TJ was immediately inconclusive. She ought to know that they were both guilty, however for Addy especially because Jake died.
I’m wondering what the creators of One of Us are Lying thought when they revealed that Janae’s character is gender-fluid. Was this really necessary for the show or were we just handing out token representations just to make a point?
Addy’s motive for speaking to Giselle is completely random. She shouldn’t be worried about who started it since it’s suggested that both of them cheated on one another. The ending of the story was abrupt as there was no way to tell who did it first. Murder Club just dumped Jake’s body into the ocean, however, they did nothing about his DNA which was probably lying on the boat.
