While all this is happening, Serena engages in some intense psychological warfare, taunting June from afar using notes, and the desire to broaden Gilead’s influence in Canada simultaneously. As we saw the previous year, there are fans of Gilead, and this year they’re much more active.

Canadians are beginning to attack refugees, with huge banners and marches to drive their fellow Americans out. Serena is still extremely pregnant, yet she is elevated to the role of a diplomat to try and make a connection between Gilead and the world at large.
