After two years of the wildly successful and well-loved CW show Supernatural ended and the network is returning with a fresh spin-off based on The Winchester Family that hunts demons and monsters to earn money.

In a time prior to Season 1 of Supernatural, The Winchesters offers a glimpse at Sam and Dean Winchester’s parents John and Mary. The Winchesters tell a love story that brings viewers back to the times when Dean was searching for Dad (John Winchester) and his famous line “Dad’s out hunting and hasn’t returned at home for a few days.”

The new spin-off series will show Dean learning the story of his father’s turn into an avid hunter and how he came across Mary. With a retro and humorous approach to the 15-year-old emotional and entertaining show Supernatural, CW has now developed a story that will reveal to viewers the crazy adventures that made John become a fan of Mary along with how started to hunt for demons shortly after meeting with Mary.

In Episode 2, we saw John, Mary, Carlos, Lata, and Ada team together to locate Samuel. After fighting zombies, Mary discovers bullet casings that bear the initials of her father. Mary is certain that she will locate her father, and leads the group to an investigation. The group is confronted by a new type species of animal which feeds off unruly children. After putting John’s life near the end the group manages to kill the creature as well as uncover more clues leading the way to Samuel.

In the next installment, we will center on Mary and her use of herself as bait in order to take down a creature that looks like the boogeyman.
