After two years of the highly popular and highly successful CW show, Supernatural was canceled The network is returning with a fresh spin-off that is based around Winchester Family. Winchester Family hunts demons and monsters to earn money.

In a time prior to Season 1 of Supernatural, The Winchesters offers a glimpse at Sam and Dean Winchester’s parents John and Mary. The Winchesters tell a love story that transports viewers back to the days when Dean was searching to find Dad (John Winchester) and his famous line “Dad’s out hunting and hasn’t returned at home for a few days.”

The spin-off show will feature Dean discovering how his father became a hunter, and how he came across Mary. With a retro and humorous approach to the 15-year-old emotional and enjoyable show Supernatural, CW has now created a backstory that will tell viewers about the bizarre adventures that led John to become a fan of Mary as well as how he began to hunt for demons shortly after having a meeting with Mary.

In Episode 2, we saw John, Mary, Carlos, Lata, and Ada team together to locate Samuel. After fighting zombies, Mary discovers bullet casings that bear the initials of her father. Mary is certain that she can find her father, and leads the group to an investigation. The group battles a brand new type species of animal which feeds on unruly children. After putting John’s life near the end the group manages to take down the creature and uncover more clues leading them to Samuel.

In the next installment, we will center on Mary and how she uses herself in the position of bait to defeat a monster that is reminiscent of a bogeyman.
