Shana Feste’s latest action thriller Run Sweetheart Run is available to stream on Prime Video right now. It’s a great movie, which we noted within our review and if you loved the film as much as we did, you may be looking for the sequel.

However, will there be the possibility of a Run Sweetheart Run 2? Or has the possibility of a sequel gone unnoticed?

What exactly is Run Sweetheart Run about?

The film features Ella Balinska as Cherie, the young woman who is forced to race across the city of LA after an unpleasant incident in the company of Ethan (Pilou Asbaek) who appears to be a charming man she meets on the demand of her boss at the law firm.

At first glance, it appears to be another “woman in peril” movie that you believe you’ve seen previously. But, there are plenty of new surprises to be had by viewers as well as Cherie because the film is filled with an unexpected twist that can’t be easily anticipated.

Is there going to be any Run Sweetheart Run 2?

As of the writing time of the article, a sequel to Run Sweetheart Run has not been made public. The likelihood of a sequel depends on how many people watch the film and the reviews from critics.

Since the film has recently been released but it’s still too early to discuss figures for viewing the reviews have been mostly positive and currently have an average score of 68% according to Rotten Tomatoes.

There’s certainly room for a sequel since this film introduces some amazing plot points that can be explored further. For now, we’ll just need to wait and watch since there doesn’t appear to be any mention of a sequel at the moment.

What might Run Sweetheart Run 2 be about?

The first film centers on Cherie who is a promising law student in her early years who is denied advancement opportunities by her snooty boss. Without divulging too much the conclusion of that film showed Cherie overcoming a setback on her path to success. when the film sequel comes out, it may be the case that Cheryl has made it up the ladder to success.

We aren’t supposed to expect a drama that is legal even if there’s a part two. It could be an annoyance to those who were hoping to see a new horror-themed thriller. Run Sweetheart Run largely focused on Cherie’s struggle to survive when a dinner with a client changed into something more dangerous, so the sequel could find Cherie, a young lawyer, in danger once more, probably from Ethan, a revenge-seeking Ethan.

When will Run Sweetheart Run 2 be made available?

If there’s the possibility of a sequel, it will probably premiere around Halloween like Run Sweetheart Run did this year. It is possible that we will see the sequel in October of this year or even 2024 however, this would depend on the desire of the actors and the director to come back for a sequel film.
